Played with the new computer last night.

Gonna take some getting used to keyboard/mouse controls. I was getting owned pretty quickly.

Ended up plugging in the xbox controller and did fine. Had fun. The graphics are phenomenal. Can basically see everything with no issue seeing far away. Now I know how people snipe from so far. Distance sight is huge.

If you need help with KB + M lmk (DM me on slack cuz I don't check MH lol), I can give you some good keybinds and tips + tricks plus help u optimize settings so that you can have the most frames possible

So I played last night, and definitely could tell the differences between people. Some people were moving around like they were using a touchscreen, easy kill, then you had the PC guys that were just build monsters, and I stand no chance. Mind you, I'm playing Xbox.  I'd play PC but my laptop is too old to run Fortnite at anything but pretty low settings.

I don't care about bots or matchmaking, the single biggest difference in skill comes from platforms.  The platforms seriously need to be separated.

Basically it'll be where it'll be impossible to get a VR on Mobile, and next to impossible on consoles.

    I agree.

If whatever algorithm they use for determining “skill” is exceptional, maybe in the end it will be a wash, but I have doubts they can implement a system that is going to take in account player skill, devices, FPS, input lag, etc.

And this would be the time I get hyped for the next season, but feel everything is quiet on Epics front. People aren’t sure if SX is going to end on Sun, next Thurs or another time. OT challenges have been leaked, but nothing indicating when they will be live (guesses are Thur).  No one really knows when (or if) this seasons live event will be. According to Epics site and the BP page, SX will be done Sun, but we are pushing it close for all those challenges/live event to be completed by then. Expecting to see some teasers soon on the official Twitter.

If ur getting frustrated with SBMM then it’s doing it’s job, ideally you should have a 1.0 K/D and a 1% win rate 🤷‍♂️

Skill Based matchmaking is making the game unplayable. Against only sweats now and I have like a 1.2 K/D

stop complaining about sweats, they are people trying to play the game the way it is meant to be played, not everyone wants to do a conga line wearing a banana skin, people are playing to win, if that makes you unhappy go play team rumble

people practice at this game to get better and get criticized by people like you that are mad they are losing, its really unfortunate and unfair to them

All Im saying is that it is every single player I run into and half of them are better than me at the game.

At least a week ago it was some players not all. Ask any youtuber, streamer that is good at the game, at least 80% dont like it.

I understand the point of it but I hate it.

Maybe eventually they will match me lower where I belong

if you practice and get better then you will be killing them easy, just gotta put the time in, instead of complaining you can go into creative and practice your building, go into zone wars and practice box fighting, go into team rumble and practice aim

Dude I have played since season 2 and have played a lot. Im not going to get much better

Have you practiced builds in creative? Fire up an edit or aim map, free build, or 1v1 someone, it helps a ton

Have you played any zone wars? It’s only been out for 3 days but I feel like my box fighting has gotten so much better

If you’re feeling really ambitious look up ballatw and watch his vod reviews, even if you don’t play comp you will learn a lot from it

With the mentality that you won’t get better, but you will become great at complaining

Yes I have playes Zone Wars

Yes I have 1v1d my friends

Yes I have practiced in Creative before

Not everyone can become great at the game

how much time have you put into it? if you've played 3 zone wars games you're not gonna get any better, you have to put a couple hours in to see improvement. are your friends good? if not, not point in 1v1ing them. how are you practicing in creative? are you practicing certain builds or just messing around? anyone can be great, you just have to put the time and effort in

My frienss are bettee than me, I have played like 5 zone war matches when they have been out but playground fill which everyone plays zone wars in a lot and I have done edit courses

I have like 9k matches I have put a lot of time in the game.

I just think im in a bad matchmaking pool

I played a lot of arsenal when it was out so thats 20+ kills at least per game and it counts as my stats when I look on Fortnite tracker. Maybe thats it.

How are you playing zone wars? Are you pushing people off spawn or are you playing passive, if you're just sitting in your box then there's no way you'll get better, a good mix of passive and aggressive is the way to go, that way you can practice turtling and box fighting

If your friends are better than you then practicing 1v1ing them will help you improve your builds immensly

Having a lot of games means nothing, you have to use them right, if you keep complaining, that mentality will not get you far, you have to practice to improve, 1.2 K/D is better than most, and you shouldn't get discouraged by it, you should use it as motivation for yourself to get better and beat the "sWeAtS"

BTW arsenal was an LTM, it shouldn't count towards your K/D

Thielen is playing Chicago, not too sure I like that matchup with Kirk Cousins, do I keep him in or put someone else in for my flex it's a .5 PPR league also .1 PPreturn yard I have Tarik Cohen, Sterling Shepard, Curtis Samuel, John Ross, and Wayne Gallman on the bench (I'm personally leaning towards shep because Washington's been awful against WRs)

In a different league I also have Thielen but it is standard scoring, do I play him, DJ Moore, Samuel, or Marquise Brown? I'm leaning towards Samuel b/c he got more targets than Moore last week and Houston's defense has a lot of holes. And do I put Melvin Gordon (or one of those guys) in the flex slot over Joe Mixon?

In a third league, I need a WR2, I'm a bit iffy on Robert Woods, do I play him over Shepard, Ross, Brown, Randall Cobb? And do I put Melvin Gordon (or one of those guys) in the flex slot over Joe Mixon?

Most importantly, Danny Dimes or Josh Allen? Smile

    Thanks guys!

    1. Shepard

    2. Hard choice between Samuel and Brown. I'd go Brown though because Browns top 2 CBs are out.

    3. Even harder. I think I'd go Brown again though. Definitely keep Joe Mixon in flex.

    4. Danny Dimes all day

Honestly kind of unsure on Brown, he's been getting targets but his past 2 games have been no where near his week 1 performance, kinda scaring me from playing him since he seems to be very boom or bust

Had 11 kills in a zone war game. I was playing pretty damn good. Got 2nd Sad

On the flip side, I played a game where I only had like 3 kills and I won.

I really hope they keep these around for awhile. It'd be cool to have random maps in them as well.

Damn 11 kills 😳 you must be one of those a dudes that pushes off spawn 😂

Initially I wasnt a fan of zone wars but I'm really enjoying it now. I was trash when they first started because I had no idea what I was doing. Now I've got a couple wins and it's a lot of fun.

Im definitely going to try it tonight. Does it have siphon?

     yes

The night before they fixed this I tried using that. I don't know, I have pretty steady aim when I'm pressing L2, never thought before about pressing it repeatedly.  Was actually very competitive last night. I wonder if removing that evened the playing field somewhat?

From what I've seen, with Aim Assist, Controllers>Mouse and Keyboard.

    As in aiming right?

Controller L2 is better than the average Mouse and Keyboard player, but a good aimer (Shroud, Zexrow, even Ninja and Tfue) will outgun them
From what I understand, the new controller setting are worse for box fighting

is there a way to change the color of the targeting reticle? i can barely see it

Dont think so man. You play on the new sens?

You can't change the targeting reticle... epic is stupid
