Defense matters. Offense matters more. We've seen that the last few years. Jags, Bears, Patriots, and several more all had fantastic defenses but bad offenses. They all lost. Yet the teams with top offenses and mediocre defenses are consistently among the last teams left.

49ers have a stout defense. But they also have one of the most efficient offenses. Balance>offense>defense

i'd say balance>defense>offense. if i can only have one, i'd rather have defense.

I can’t get over how similar this looks to super bowl 48. I hope the outcome doesn’t turn out the same but I can’t say id be surprised

Which team gets the beating in this scenario? Who is playing the role of the Broncos? Laughing

Agreed. Defense wins championships, NFC West may  best the AFC West once again on the big stage because of it.

When you say this, you mean you want the game to be competitive? Or are you rooting for the offensive team?

I do see the similarities, although imo the 2013 Seahawks were better than this years Niners. I want a competitive game too, but I'll a big Niners blowout over a close Chiefs win lol.

definitely rooting for the chiefs. they're a lot more exciting imo. i also do want the game to be more competitive though. i agree that the 2013 hawks are better than this year's niners defensively, but i think their running game could cause some problems.

The Niners defensive strength isn't the secondary, unlike the prime LOB for Seattle. You're not going to see anywhere near a repeat of that.

a stout front 4 can blow any game out of proportion. a blowout is certainly possible imo, but yeah it wouldn't be because of amazing DB play

Tell that to the top defenses from the last couple of years.

uh ok? the bears lost cuz of parkey and idk if you remember or not, but all the higher seeds were scared to death of them. the JAGUARS made it to the afc championship and nearly beat the best dynasty we've ever seen on the road. i sincerely don't remember there being a big time dominant defense in 2016, i must be forgetting something. but the 2015 broncos and that defense won it all. oh yeah, and here are the niners this year. you gotta stop with the defenses don't matter take. it's not a good look bruh
