That statement right there is a conundrum wrapped in a pun. Or a pun wrapped in a conundrum. Whichever you prefer. Or perfer for those that don't know shit. Which is a whole different story.

No it doesn't make your ass look big. It sure is easier to lose than weight though.

  • posted a message on why Weed should be legalized everywhere

I have ehlers danlos. It's a debilitating and disabling disease that causes horrible pain. I'm also being evaluated for a second disease called Stiff person's syndrome. I have the antibodies for the disease but they're so barely positive they're having a hard time actually diagnosing me with it. I'm off for a second opinion. But it causes very painful muscle contractions that are powerful enough to sometimes break bones. Needless to say, I live my life in pain.

I live in Wisconsin where medical nor recreational are legal. I also have a genetic defect where the efficacy of narcotics and opioids is nil for me. There's not much I can look to for pain relief. Drinking does actually help dull the pain. But I don't want to kill my liver. I smoke weed every day. There's no reason I should have to be a criminal using something that works better than a prescribed, addictive pain pill.

And I'm a criminal. I grow weed. I go to Denver and bring weed home. It's all for personal use. I have no regrets about it. Why should I? People don't live my life.

I know those that have interacted with me on religious topics are going to find this hard to believe... but I was born into a religious family. My mom is a Sunday school teacher and my cousin is a pastor.

I would say I'm more spiritual than religious. I live in a rather small community and it's hard being in a building with that many hypocrites and still feel good about " religion". Going to church on Sunday and asking for forgiveness for sins you're just going to turn right back around and do, rinse and repeat really wasn't working for me. In today's world I wonder if people would call Jesus a libtard to his face or behind his back. Isn't that the whole premise of the bible... to love all others as you love yourself?  Is feeding a hungry man, woman or child welfare or good will? Is allowing others to be as happy as you are a sin, or being humane?

I have to go with science in the end. Did a 600 year old man take a 100 years to build an ark big enough to house the literally millions of different plants and animals found on this great round earth, or did evolution happen? There's a species of frogs that are proven to adapt based on sex needs. You can put a whole bunch of females in one place... and low and behold you have babies.

I don't feel religious entities should make laws. Not every governed constituent is of a religion or even the same one. There's over 200 recognized religions with over 200 "gods"... which is the " right" one? Which religion do we base laws on?

Not really an answer to your question but I’ve heard that heritage chickens can be delicious. Apparently back in the day when people ate chicken it had far more flavor than what we usually eat today.

Also on my list is sand hill crane and dove which are both supposedly great.

I really have only hunted deer and the backstrap is the best cut on them.

Great thread, hope others chime in!

Just coming here to post about one of  the most delicious game I have had... crane. I live in a small town, hunting community and there's a game feed at a local restaurant every year. People donate the game and the chef prepares it. I used to serve at it because it was great tips and a easy way to try food I wouldn't normally have access to.

Fried alligator is another favorite of mine.

So as of 2 hours ago the official count at the gate was about 75 people. There are small festivals and parties happening at nearby towns/cities and the 'official' event is happening in Las Vegas.. but for those actually at the Area 51 entrance... It's nearing 100 folks. Only two reported incidents of people being apprehended so far.

Prayers up there are no serious issues during this weekend.

I can't say I'm sorry to say it... but if any if these people are hurt, it's of their own volition. There's signs plastered everywhere stating what will happen to trespassers. The mentality of " they can't shoot us all" is asinine.

In my opinion this has become a huge waste of government resources and funding. And I personally feel all the people that showed up should either be fined or jailed to reflect as much to deter others in the future.

What are people going to do if they're shot by the government? Sue and call it inhumane?

Yes, in your world you're correct.

I don't have a problem with the thread, it's how you speak to people. You're the all encompassing know it all, leading expert on weapons and the second Amendment and everyone else is an idiot. It seems there's a premise behind this to cause divisiveness and really isn't about sharing with other gun enthusiasts... in my opinion and it seems others as well.

    But.. carry on.

Just my opinion Talking about firearms ,  the ones members may own or want to own , accessories like holsters clips night sights etc can be good for discussion

if we try to discuss the second amendment here then I think that it would be political by nature and not be allowed

Agree. It's like if people want to talk about their boots and shoelaces that's fine. May not be my thing, but it's cool for people to have different enjoyments. Once it strays from that...no bueno.

I’m fine with questions too. Lotta ignorant people on here, if we’re being honest. Hell, that’s why I have an example question.

No wonder you fit right on in.

As do you, read the conversations before speaking.

First of all, I did read everything before COMMENTING. Second of all, since this a text based forum, there is no speaking. Smh ignorant people gonna ignorant.

Might I suggest that you’ve missed half of the conversation? Cause you did. Oh and speaking isn’t purely verbal

     ya okay buddy

    noun
    noun: speaking
    1. the action of conveying information or expressing one's thoughts and feelings in spoken language

Who would have thought speaking involves.... speaking?

If you ever meet someone that’s deaf, you’ll realize how stupid your statement is. Yes, I’m fluent in ASL, it comes in handy...fuck I didn't intend for that pun but I’ll leave it

You don't speak sign language... you sign sign language. If you didn't try to redefine words, you might understand how stupid your statement is.

It’s a technicality, we don’t call someone a signer if they’re a deaf presenter, they’re a speaker. Anyway this is off topic but it is a little amusing

When you're insinuating that someone is stupid, it usually comes down to technicalities as to whom the correct person is. You should maybe try figuring out how words are used in context as to their meanings. I know the English language is hard, especially when words can be used as verbs, nouns or adjectives. There are websites out there that help with such. Just like there's sites where you can talk about guns unfettered. Utilizing is key.
