Wilt Chamberlain because he's dead and so technically he wouldn't be able to miss and I wouldn't be able to lose, saving my life. Loopholes for the win!

These people are willing to murder because someone missed a free throw. You think they’ll let a loophole slide?

Considering they have the power to bring any of these people to a location and make them take two free throws, you're right, probably not. Klay then, he has an 83.8 career FT %. Could probably make them even when injured.

I automatically don't like Dak because he's asking for more than freaking 33 mil a year. That's ridiculous for a guy who has won one playoff game. He's a good QB though. I just hate his attitude. Watson would never, and he deserves that contract more than Dak imo.

Dak would be asking for that much because he has leverage, and the market says he can.  Timing and leverage are always more important than anything in negotiations.  Why do you hold against someone trying to maximize their earnings?  How do you know Watson wouldn't ask for the same thing, if not more?  Houston is looking to extend him this offseason.  I'd be surprised if it's not for more than Wilson's deal.  Watson's agent has gotten deals that reset the top of the market at a position multiple times, so I don't think there'll be any discounts handed out (not to mention the fact Bill O'Brien will be negotiating the contract most likely, and he'd likely be out of a job it not for Deshaun so he'd be smart to just pay whatever it takes)

I never said that Watson would take a discount, let me clarify. If Watson was in Dak's exact position with the exact same stats, in other words if he basically took his place, I think he'd take 33 mil a year. It's a character thing.

As for Dak, what you're saying makes sense if he was one of the top QB's in the league, but watching him over the years I just don't think he is up there with the best of the best. I mean, we're talking a Wilson-like contract here. Do we really think he's as good as Wilson? Or Watson for that matter? I don't think so, and so I don't think he deserves as much or more than those two. But it's not up to me, and because they do want to keep him for life I wouldn't be surprised if he ultimately gets the deal he wants, and then it becomes a question of was it worth it, or did he just steal the team's lunch money.

I wouldn't mind Josh Norman in KC for a cheap price.

He was god awful the last two years

I believe it. I still think hes worth the gamble. At the right price that is. Kendall Fuller was pretty bad last year. Gave up something like a 134 passer rating when targeted.

We don’t need to make moves at DB. We have the core with Ward/Breeland/Fenton. Only DB signings should be low cost deals for depth.

Any big $$ we have needs to be put into LB and OL, and re-signing Breeland.

I agree. I'd be strongly opposed to them giving Norman a big deal. But if they can get him cheap for a 1 year contract, I wouldnt oppose it.

You can never have enough DBs. If he doesnt work out then move on. But again, i know the chances of getting him super cheap are very non existent.

Exactly my point, whatever we would have to pay him, most likely wouldn't be even close to worth it.

Speaking of attitude, DP I would not want Josh Norman over here. He had his glory years sure, but his play and attitude sucked so bad that he got relegated to ST, and then of course released. Maybe it's because he was on the Redskins, idk. But he's clearly not what he once was, not even close really. I would much rather have a guy like Chris Harris Jr., who has been linked repeatedly to KC, is still at the top of his game, and would fit perfectly. We could then have a very solid secondary with him for the near future, Ward, Breeland, Mathieu and Thornhill.  If we can just figure out the cap space and keep that defense strong (offense too of course, but Mahomes, Kelce and Hill aren't likely going anywhere for a long time), and avoid injuries, my word dude. This team could go on a tear. So to me it's all about going out and getting top talent when they can responsibly afford them, rather than settling for high-risk, high-reward players that could potentially downgrade the team just to save a little money. There's no point in doing that imo when you already have a team that has proven it can win it all with the framework it currently has. They can afford to take risks, but why try to fix what isn't broken, you know what I'm saying? Just keep adding on to that framework when you can with established players like Harris, and build a powerhouse.

The thing with Donald and Mahomes that I think sets them apart from anyone else in the league is that they are great in every aspect of their position, and neither of them have any real consistent weaknesses. Like sure, Mahomes makes a dumb pass occasionally, but they aren't very often, and are certainly far from a problem, like Favre for example. Arm, accuracy, IQ, pocket presence, mobility, leadership, etc. He's got it all. Donald might get stifled several times a game, but that's far from the norm, and he can beat you about ten different ways, or you and a friend. He's got the whole package too. Compared to guys like Wilson, who makes incredibly dumb passes sometimes and, at no fault to his own, also has a bit of a height disadvantage, or Chris Jones, who isn't the best run blocker and can be injury prone, regardless of whose gap is bigger or whatever, imo they're clearly at the top of the offensive and defensive hills of the league, respectively.

Brady is a fake GOAT. Put Taysom Hill on those teams and the Pats win 9 SBs

True. Would love to see him as a starter someday.

Speaking of the Patriots, Gronk has somehow managed to survive three eliminations on the Masked Singer without singing a single note. He's rapped twice, shouted, and danced. He's beaten out two actual musical artists. Why am I not surprised.

People actually watch the Masked Singer? I don't even know what its about lmao

Best description I can give for it: this is insane, why am I watching this, Gronk is under that Tiger mask, I'm sure of it. It's extremely popular, averaging a little over 6.5 million viewers an episode rn. Basically there's a bunch of celebs ranging from A to C list that sing in head to toe costumes and the audience plus a celeb judging panel is trying to figure out who it is via their voice and clues given in each episode. At least one celeb is unmasked every episode until there's a winner, who is also unmasked. Wayne Brady won it all last season. The premise originated in South Korea and became a global sensation when Ryan Reynolds appeared on their show to promote the Deadpool movie. Now there's versions of it all over the world.

No it’s useless even trying to have a conversation with u when u ignore main points other ppl bring up and write your essay of nonsense or bias. It’s not worth it at this point so I’m taking the high road. We get it, u idolize Mahomes.

You may have noticed I did as well. I need to stop taking things so seriously. Not to be rude or anything, but I care about some of you guys' opinions way too much, way too often. Not in a sense of "I don't care what you think", but "your opinion is one of many, and that's okay".  If you don't think of Mahomes like others do, you know what, that's fine. But please understand that I don't idolize him. I don't idolize any celebrity.

I think it’s kinda safe to say mahomes is the best football player in the world at this moment

Definitely the best all around player

     ????

Pretty clear if you ask me?

All-around player? All around qb sure

     All. Around. Player.

     Yes and that is incorrect

qb is obviously the most important position, but even if not accounting for that he has a very easy argument for top player period.  difference between someone like aaron Donald and the 2nd best DT is around the same gap as mahomes and the 2nd best qb

Nah I disagree. Difference between Donald and the 2nd best DT is much bigger

     This ^

Lol what, The distance between Mahomes and the next QB isnt that far. Donald > every other dline player is kinda big. Only one that are somewhere at his level Watt on his decline, Mack and maybe TJ watt/chandler jones (last 3 mentioned are pure passrushers).

Eh, I disagree with that. No bias, but no one is or has ever done what Mahomes is doing accomplishments wise. Plus while he's the best QB in football, there is a debate for who is behind him in 2nd. Which essentially means he is the clear #1. On the flip side, the gap between Donald and 2nd place is significant, but not as big. You completely forgot about Chris Jones and Fletcher Cox, who are complete game wreckers. Jones was a giant reason why the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, two bat downs and a deflection. A sack or two may have given him MVP honors. And Fletcher Cox has been on the DT podium for forever. Jones also owns the all-time record of any position for most consecutive games with a sack. They're a step below Donald, but just a step.

Of course there’s no bias when it comes to u and Mahomes. *Insert eye roll*

Mahomes wasn’t even the best qb this season and last time I checked, another qb won mvp, so saying that gap is bigger is extremely biased.

Please tell me that's bait. You did not actually just say that and mean it.

What did I say that was absurd? Did Mahomes win season mvp? Was Russ and Jackson not even in discussion as best qb this season?

This season is part of, but not the whole story when talking about the gap between 1st and 2nd best QB in the league. Mahomes has had the greatest start to a QB's career in NFL history, and one of the best back to back years in general. 50 TD's, 5k yards, MVP. Led a bottom 10 defense of all time to an AFC Championship. Then he starts out the season on pace for 6k passing yards through four games, without his best receiver. Three different injuries derailed his stats and MVP status, but then he comes back and puts up the most total TD's of any QB in history through a single playoff run, wins the Super Bowl and SB MVP (SB MVP part is debatable, I get it). Nobody in the league currently comes even close to doing those things in back to back years, let alone in their first two years as a starter. He's the clear #1 to me, Russ #2 a bit farther down, Jackson #3. Russ is probably as similar as it comes to Mahomes in the league, maybe ever, and I believe he is the best pure deep ball thrower in the NFL. The gap between him and Mahomes for me is likely smaller than you think.

Ok u are right. He’s leaps and bounds above everyone and no one comes close. He is the GOAT!

Brady is the GOAT. Everyone knows that.

All this tells me is people forget just how good Donald is, even if his counting stats this year didn't show it

I feel like most big fans understand it, it's the casual ones that are appalled that he was up for DPOTY again this year and was one of PFF's highest ranked players. Like the fact that superstar CB's don't get a lot of picks or passes defended because they aren't thrown to, same concept, hard stats don't tell the whole story.

Uh don’t forget mack now but appreciate the respect! Most of the year cox was playing through injury but we saw come around playoff time when he was healthy he’s probably the best dt, unless ofc AD is considered that but it’s not a big gap at all

     LMAO

Obviously I’m biased on this but I kno u were watching the game vs u guys lol

I mean I agree, Cox is the 2nd best DT after Donald imo, but the margin between Donald and Cox is pretty big. And that’s not even a  drag on Cox, dude is amazing, but Donald is on another level.

Chris Jones slots in between those two imo, closer to Cox than Donald.

And while he is insanely good, I didn't forget about Mack, he's more of a LB.
