I'm just worried about a Dan Marino situation. Mahomes is young and has set records and seems to be able to lead the Chiefs to championships for years. Well so did Marino. Marino never had a defense though. Marino never won anything.

If they can add a lock down CB I think it instantly gives them a much higher chance to win. I just want to see Mahomes win one championship. Ramsey would get him that.

I don’t think he will go winless. They will build the team around him year after year and as long as they are at the top of the afc, players will want to go there. They will get over the Patriots hump eventually since Brady and Bill won’t be there forever and Mahomes is young.

Chiefs really only have 1 more year after this to get it going.  Mahomes' monster contract will make things a lot more difficult to build a team around him.  He's cheap through 2020.  He's cap hit this year is 4.5, next year it's 5.2m. In 2021, he'll be owed somewhere around 25m if they pick up the option.  They will try to extend him obviously for many years in order to spread the huge guaranteed money, but he's still going to count a ton against the cap starting in 2021.

And that's my concern. I imagine he'll take up 20% of the cap. QBs who take that much of the cap dont win. I dont remember what the exact statistics are but they just simply dont win because the team cant continue to build around them.

I wont be mad at Mahomes wanting a monster contract or them giving him one. They need to. But they have to start drafting well. Offense wont be an issue with him at the helm. They have to nail defensive picks and develop guys. Easier said than done.

I'd give up two 1st's for a guy like Gilmore. Not Ramsey, not with the risk he poses with the attitude. And I don't think he's as good of a corner as he was two years ago either, he's still a star, but has dropped off a little.

it's important to remember that gilmore wasn't this good until he joined the patriots, a team that can get much more out of most players than other teams can.

Gilmore was very talented tho. I think you could try and project what he'd be today. Interesting point though. Do you think Gilmore would be the same had he not gone to the Pats? Along those lines, if Ramsey did end up in KC, do you think he'll be as good, decline, or continue to progress?

Would you make this deal? 0.5 PPR, 0.5 for 1st down catch/run

Send: Adam Thielen ($42), Chris Carson ($15)

Receive: Michael Thomas ($20), AJ Brown ($5)

    (2020 keeper cost)

My other RBs besides Carson: Aaron Jones, Sony Michel, Devonta Freeman, Rashaad Penny, Darwin Thompson, Derrius Guice stashed on IR

I dont believe I would. Relying on Jones and Michel as your top 2 guys are risky. Thielen hasnt been hot but I have faith they'll start to click.

I really hope so. I just keep thinking Marino tho.

I really thought this would be their year. But man this is the best Patriots roster they've had imo. Idk who can stop them.

Vetos among all teams are essential for fair play. Even with a commissioner vetoing trades, they are still one person and could be biased. I have also ran into the problem of owners vetoing for no legitimate reason. Thank god ive found/created a system that has worked so far.

I think it should be left to commissioners choice. If you have a commissioner who is vetoing trades for Shady reasons, dont play with that guy again.

I just think that if 2 consenting people come to a trade agreement, no one should be able to tell them no. Unless there is obvious collusion.

It’s fair play tho...if the league is for fun and less competitive then it shouldn’t be a problem but every league I’m in is for money so bs trades should never be alright. 2 consenting owners could trade Saquan for Vance McDonald. I don’t see how that would ever be acceptable.

That sounds collusion. If there is an obvious bad trade like that then I'll think its cheating and I'll shoot it down.

    Vetoes shouldn't be allowed

Unless it's some clown dumping his team...

Yes. The commissioner should then cancel the trade. If there is obvious collusion, like a player just dumping his team, then cancel it. Trade voting among the league shouldn't be a thing.

I swear people Veto because they don't want your team better lol.

I 100% agree. That's why they shouldn't be allowed. If someone sees that you're upgrading your team then they'll veto just to help themselves whether its fair or not.

I agree kitchens might not be that smart of a coach, wtf are you doing up 20 with just a few minutes left in the game having your franchise quarterback throw the ball? Put the backup in if you want the offense to get more reps or just hand the ball off.

Patriots were up by 40 and Brady was still in. Does that mean BB might be stupid?

I'd easily give up 2 first for Ramsey. He'd add a huge need. They'd instantly be my SB favorites if they got him.

Texans aside, GMs value 1st round picks high, very people people are worth 2 1sts.

Agreed. Ramsey is one of them imo.

David Montgomery, Marlon Mack, Leonard Fournette. Who to start? I'm 0-2 and I need a W this week. Been rough so far.

    pick 2 of the 3.

Montgomery is the best player out of those 3. Unfortunately, his team doesnt use him enough. I'd bench him.

Just saw something I hadn't even considered.

Say Ramsey plays tomorrow and then gets traded on Friday. Can he play on Sunday as well?

No, a player can only be on one active roster per week. I just hadn't even thought about him playing for 2 teams in one week.

Gurley, David Johnson, Ekeler, or Derrick Henry for 2 RB+FLEX?

DJ and Ekeler for sure imo. I'd lean towards Henry as flex.

I think you're the first to suggest Henry. I think others that I talked to said Gurley because Bell managed to put up 129 yards of offense against the Browns in spite of bad QB's and Henry got a lot of points against the Browns as well.

I think he'll get a heavy workload. He also torched the Jags last time he played. You're in a good spot though. All 4 of those guys should be starting this week. It's not like Gurley is a bad choice.
