Putting a little bump here because Adam is one of the admins in Football Junkies, the league I'm commissioner of.

We're all very frustrated that someone who has been a strong contributor to the game and our league got randomly blocked from being able to play the game he spends money on, without a real reason or proof of his wrongdoing. Isn't it innocent until proven guilty? In that message from EA, all they say is they found it to have been properly suspended, but it doesn't state what the actual offence was or how/when it was done.

I'm hoping someone will see this and rectify the error.

according to ROOT, the highest level event has a 5% chance of players and banners

The lowest level has a 4% chance of players and banners

    Level 2 has 4.25% chance

    Level 3 has 4.25% chance

    Level 4 has 4.5% chance.

Bottom line, you're going to have a hard time seeing a difference if there is only a 1% difference between the 5.

So if you play the event 100 times, you'll see one more player and banner (on average) for level 5 vs level 1

     Wow - this is atrocious.

would have been good for EA to put this in-game - I would have never upgraded it with these abysmal rates. Feels like I was ripped off

So obnoxious that they STILL don't put this kind of stuff in the game.

Fascinating to see people talking about starting a new account as a reaction to being banned. I can't even begin to fathom it. Heck, I stopped using a fairly active account in large part in reaction to seeing OTHER innocent users get banned. There's just something about it that feels so wrong to me.

To each there own, but if it were me (and assuming I were truly innocent as you claim to be), I'd be trying to get my $200 back, not worrying about getting back an account with a company that (supposedly) banned me for no reason, with no real explanation, and offered no recourse for me to try to right the (supposed) wrong.

I hope they don’t migrate until I hit legend status tyvm!

Do you know if you need to hit 10K posts for that last +1 or is there something else?

You don’t need 10k but not sure what the criteria is. I’m sure it helps.

I could be wrong, but I think you might need 10K if you're not a MH supporter (or maybe alternatively like a clan leader or something?)

But admittedly, not 100% sure on that. That's why I was asking if he knew what the next closest/easiest +1 was. If he needs 2K+ more posts, I'm thinking his chances are not so great :/ (but perfectly happy if the forums do end up sticking around that long).

    Very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder if it could ever get bad enough to open the door for EA/NFL to let someone else take a shot at making a mobile NFL game.

Sadly no because of how much money MUT makes EA and the NFL. Their microtransactions were almost a BILLION dollars this quarter. That is probably some serious cheddar for NFL.

Also you are still my favorite part of this community over the past 5 years:

    Yoda

    Thanks!

I guess I'm kind of wishfully thinking the they might possibly agree to separate out mobile. Let EA keep the exclusive license for PC/console, but open things up to everyone on the mobile front.

Like I said, probably pie in the sky, but thinking about how all of the network NFL games were free to stream on you phone (but JUST on your phone) this year, it seems like there could be a glimmer of a precedent?

Or they could revert to what worked. MM17-18 was gold

I enjoyed the heck out of MM16 and 17, but I'm not convinced that it's that simple for 2 main reasons:

    1) A lot of people out there are always itching for the next new thing. Just like with (almost all) TV shows, there is going to be a peak and then natural decline at some point as a piece of entertainment ages... even in the cases where the quality of the product is the same as, or perhaps even better than, ever.

So while I DEFINITELY agree with (what seems to be) the majority of users that the game was better before, I do also think that there would have still been SOME decline by now even if the game were as good as ever (and more and more decline every year barring some major positive innovations).

    2) More importantly, I think that for the majority of people, once they move on from something, they've moved on. So while there may be a bunch of people who perhaps would still be playing (if the game hadn't made such major negative innovations), I suspect that most of those people probably wouldn't find their way back even if the game switched back to what was once more popular.

Also, on a completely personal note, I'd just rather play a game made by a company that doesn't casually ban its users for no reason.

Madden on Mobile is treated like the family goldfish. You try to remember to feed it and clean its bowl just enough so that it wont die....

Key phrase is "on paper" though. These forums are littered with stories about cards that don't seem to play up to their attributes, as well as cards whose gameplay some people love and others hate for whatever reason.

Player attributes? Lamar doesn't have the clutch trait for example...

Power levels matter as well....If you are playing someone with more power it doesn't matter who you use they won't play well.

EA has stated that traits aren't a thing in mobile, and afaik, nobody has ever seen any evidence of them anywhere in the "code," so unless you believe that EA is both lying (and what possible motive would they have to lie about traits?) and REALLY keen on hiding it (again, why?), it's hard to chalk it up to traits IMO. Plus, if you don't trust EA about traits, then you probably shouldn't trust them about THA either... in which case the who notion of Lamar being clearly superior on paper is out the window.

To your 2nd point, that's why I mentioned users sometimes rushing to judgement, but again, if you play with a guy long enough (and are able to keep an open mind), I do think there is a point where it makes sense to trust your experience over what "should" be true on paper.

You're probably just getting mostly Brady hate.

But you're only getting 1 TAD with Brady. THA doesn't matter.

And even if you don't scramble, a little more speed to drop back quicker and give your line time to get blocks can go a long way.

    Quote from Sulaiman23 >>

TAD +1 is the only stat that affects QBs that Brady has over Lamar. Not sure why there has to be condescension but Lamar is much better on paper.

You don't have to plan to run with the QB in order to make use of his SPD, ACC, AGI, TOR. His carry is much higher (what happened to fumblegate?), strength is +1.

These^^^ are almost certainly why some people are giving you grief. Assuming you believe EA about THA, you are trading away oodles of speed, acc, agi, carry, tor, a bit of strength, etc... for literally a single, solitary attribute point. On paper, that makes little sense unless it's strictly for coin-saving.

Key phrase is "on paper" though. These forums are littered with stories about cards that don't seem to play up to their attributes, as well as cards whose gameplay some people love and others hate for whatever reason. Some of that might be due to bias and/or users making judgements on too small a sample size at times, but not all of it. IF you've given a guy his "fair shot" and he's just not working for you, then I'd agree that that trumps any theoretical evaluation about who should be better.
