Worst: A band called Angelspit, they mainly use virtual instruments that sound nice in a song but really can't be translated to a live show. It seemed more bland than anything watching someone pressing a button every once in a while and trying to make it seem epic. Side story, I stayed around for another band called KMFMD and I enjoyed that much more then I artist I went for.
Best: A show I never went to, a band called D'espairsRay. I started listening to them a month after their first US show. I bought tickets to their second concert in NYC right away and I planned on seeing them, I was so swamped from work and life that I couldn't go. There was a line going around the street hours before the concert even started, I told myself that I would just go late. There was so much demand that they added another day to their tour for the NYC audience. Long story short I missed the show and they disbanded about a year later. Being as they are in my top 20 artists and are high energy. I knew it would be my favorite convert.
We have similar taste in music.
KMFDM is great. And I've listened to Angelspit before, and I can see where you'd be right about them being better in studio rather than live.
