Was just listening to it. I remember when I first saw that video (this was before YouTube) I watched MTV and VH1 for like 3 straight days trying to find the name of that song. Eventually found it, and downloaded it on my MP3 player that held like 10 songs 😂
Haha!! We were too poor to get MP3 players so we would have to press record on the VCR when a song we liked came on!! 😂😂😂 We would literally keep a blank VSH tape in the VCR just for that reason!! 😂😂😂 Sad, I know. Life of a poor kid!
In 2010 I got the amazing pleasure of being introduced to Ben Rector. I was in grad school at the time and my girlfriend bought me his first album -- on a complete whim. I've been a fan ever since. He's from Nashville, too, which means you know that I've seen him every time he's performed there. His music style is considered "adult, alternative contemporary pop" -- whatever the heck that means. But, seriously, I can't imagine in 2018 that he's still obscure to some people. But, yet, every time I mention him, some folks are like, "Who is he?" So if you don't know him, guys, here is Ben Rector singing When a Heart Breaks. Enjoy!!
I was first introduced to Susan Tedeschi when I was in high school. I was at Barnes & Nobles and I just happened to stumbled upon her album. One of my favorite songs by her is Don't Think Twice. I think it was originally sung by Bob Dylan; but there is something about her raspy, soulful sound that really makes this the best cover of the song. Enjoy!!
Chris Stapleton is hugely popular right now! I'm sure you guys have all heard this one; but none the less, it should still be on this thread. Fun Fact: My wife and I saw him in concert several years ago before he was "Chris Stapleton". His concert tickets are a lot more expensive now!!
Weird video but one of my all time favorite songs.
"When the ashes start to rise and the moon falls from the sky and a thousand candles burn into the night. When the angels softly cry on the flames below the sky would a thousand souls still pray for you and I?" Gets me every time. One of my all time favorite lyrics.
Also, not to point out the obvious buuuuuutttttt.....this song would go so good with any zombie related things.
Never heard of this group or song but I like it!! Nice!!
Okay, I lied. I thought I could stop posting but I love music too much to stop at three songs! And besides, I'm off tomorrow so I have all night! This one is another oldie but a goodie. If you don't know Ray LaMontagne, you are truly missing out my friend. Enjoy!
Ray is such a beast. Amazing artist.
This is my go too "relax" music:
Yeah man, Jack Johnson is great, too!! If you like relax music, you should check out Amos Lee -- if you don't know him already!!
