Seriously man? Can't just let people discuss the show as they please? You know there's a difference between bitching and being disappointed in something you invested years of your life in and wanting to talk about it with others. But by all means continue to make comments like this they really add so much more to this thread than those darn bitching posters.
Well said sir.

I am a legit Muthead member who doesn't scam, cheat, or steal on this site or in the game.
Kit Harington seen for the first time since entering rehab.
I read the Entertainment Weekly article with Emilia Clarke and she said that she read it seven times and that she remembers thinking "Because it came out of fucking nowhere. I'm flabbergasted. Absolutely never saw that coming" Clarke also said that she was sitting next to Kit Harington on the flight to Belfast for the final season table read and was anxious to talk about her story line but found the flight maddening because Kit deliberately didn't read the scripts so he could experience the story for the first time with all his castmates.
I completely understand his reactions after hearing what his character does.
Was interested to confirm my memories about hints Dany would turn into the Mad Queen throughout the series, but even I was surprised that I missed a bunch. Some from memory some taken from articles. Interested stuff.
-Season 1: People already touched upon her calm reaction to her brother's death in season 1.
-Season 2: Dany's Red Keep vision about the Ash falling in King's Landing, after many thought it was snow.
-Season 2: "In the same season she also literally declares, “When my dragons are grown, we will take back what was stolen from me and destroy those who have wronged me. We will lay waste to armies and burn cities to the ground!”
-Dany's hair in the 2nd to last episode was a major hint and throwback to when Aerys went mad and stopped taking care of his hair and nails.
-Season 4: Crucifixion of the Masters, going against Ser Barristan's opinion to be more merciful. They continued to show this by having one of the children of the slavers (not all were harsh/evil btw) begging for mercy and saying his father was a good man who was against slavery. Also I believe this is where Her Barristan warned Dany of becoming like her Father.
-Season 4: "After Ser Barristan was killed by the terror group Sons of the Harpy. In response, Dany brings three masters to her dragonpit. All swear they have nothing to do with the rogue group. She burns one of them alive to send a message to the others. Was the man guilty? Innocent? We don’t know and Dany didn’t seem to mind not knowing."
-Season 6: Burning all the Khals alive who would not follow her and proclaiming "that they’ll “kill my enemies in their iron suits and tear down their stone houses.”
-Season 7: Of course we have the Tarlys and burning them alive to the shock and dismay of many around her. Poor Sam.
-Season 6: Bran's vision with Dany and her father while he screams "Burn them all!"
-Season 6: Literally look at this quote from her that Tyrion talks her out of doing.
"“I will crucify the masters. I will set their fleets afire. I will kill every last one of their soldiers and return their cities to the dirt. That’s my plan.” That is what happens in the last season to the T. How can you deny that there were no signs of this?
-Season 8: Some could say burning Varys was a sign, but he did deserve it for attempting to kill/poison her.
-Mad King's hand is a Lannister, Dany's hand is also a Lannister....
-Season 8: The way in which she destroyed King's Landing was basically mixed with her father's plan (igniting the wildfire hidden around the city). Very cool nod to the Mad King.
-Season 2: Quote from Cersei (originally from King Jaehaerys), "“Half the Targaryens went mad, didn’t they? What’s the saying? ‘Every time a Targaryen is born, the gods flip a coin.’” Hint about Dany's future?
-Season 7: Quote from Olenna Tyrell- "Commoners and nobles are all children really,” she says. “They won’t obey you unless they fear you.”
Later, Olenna adds, “You’re a dragon. Be a dragon.” -Mad Queen Dany? Sure sounds like it.
-Season 8: In the celebration scene after defeating the NK, Tormund says “What kind of person climbs on a fucking dragon? A madman, or a king!” On the word “madman,” the camera cuts to Dany before returning to Jon for “king.”
-Moreso alluded from the books, but one reason some believed a lot of the Targaryens went mad was because of the incest. Dany is just following in their footsteps by loving Jon.
Anyways bunch of stuff I've found but I'm sure there are more that i missed. So please stop saying that there were no signs of this during the series.
Some of the points you make are valid (the S2 quote being one of them), but also many of the things you mentioned imo are 1. what any conqueror would say to his/her armies which doesn't mean at all he/she is crazy and 2. things the show wants you to see but that have nothing to do with her actions (Cersei saying this, Tormund saying that, as I posted a vid a couple pages back, foreshadowing isn't character development).
Listen, this thread looks a lot like pro vs anti Dany arguments at this point, and honestly I don't really think any of us will change the way we've seen her over the past 8 years, show is over so our opinions on her are probably set. I don't know how you or others feel about her character, as I've stated in this thread before, she's personally my favorite, because of her journey and because of her moral ambiguity, the thing that bothers me is the show painted her as this horrible villain almost worse than the Night King, which is far from what she was for 7 and a half seasons. Daenerys, the character that I enjoyed so much wasn't Superman or Sauron. As I said, some of the points you make are legit exactly because she is this morally ambiguous character that's not simply a hero or a villain. She made mistakes in her journey just like she did great things. My one problem with how they handled her story is in the end, in a span of 2 episodes they portrayed her as another crazy Targaryen tyrant, like her father, and if one thing I can defend is she was so much more than that throughout her journey.
Bottom line is, maybe some of you liked her and thought her character deserved better (what I mean by that is that if she was gonna be the one last "villain" she at least deserved more characer development in that regard) maybe some of you never liked her and just wanted her to become the villain and get killed, maybe some of you liked her before and actually liked her transition to mad queen, I don't know. But this is kinda blowing out of proportion and I don't really see how our opinions about it are gonna change. Whatever you feel about her character, that's cool.
After a few days of reflecting on it, I loved the show, I loved Daenerys as a complex character, and I loved that this season Emilia saw the script, all the bad things her character would do and what did she do? She didn't give us a lazy performance because she didn't agree with the ending of her story, she went ahead and gave us her best performance in the entire show this season, she really put her heart on the character and I really thank her for that. Any way we feel about Dany, now that the show is over isn't gonna change. I think we should stop with this argument.
