Matt Murdock, with his other senses superhumanly enhanced, fights crime as a blind lawyer by day, and vigilante by night.
This show, man. Best rendition of a comic ever made by far in my opinion. The long continuous fight scenes are some of the best of all time. The acting, especially by Charlie Cox, is just superb. The one "bad thing" about this show is that they set the bar so incredibly high with the first season that I think future seasons won't seem as good when you compare it to the first season even if the other seasons are very good. Even if you don't like comic/super hero stuff, you should give this show a chance.
Five hundred years in the future, a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft tries to survive as they travel the unknown parts of the galaxy and evade warring factions as well as authority agents out to get them.
Firefly was way before it's time. FOX badly represented what this show was and the show suffered for it. The story line is good and engaging and even though it's serious, it has some great comedy in it. This show has developed a cult following and has been talked about being revived for years now and we'd be so lucky if that happened. If you get the chance I highly recommend giving this show a shot.
Cullen Bohannon, a former soldier and slaveholder, follows the track of a band of Union soldiers, the killers of his wife. This brings him to the middle of one of the biggest projects in US history, the building of the transcontinental railroad. After the war years in the 1860s, this undertaking connected the prospering east with the still wild west.
This show starts out as a man getting revenge and turns into the man becoming one of the integral parts of getting the transcontinental railroad built. The show does great at showing how religion effected much of the time, how former slaves were treated after they were freed, and how women tried to make a living. Anson Mount gives a very good performance as Cullen Bohannon and Common, the rapper, is an excellent co-star. Cullen Bohannon is one of my top 5 TV characters of all time and with the amount of things I've watched, that's saying something. I was unsure about this show when I started it and it became one of my all time favorites so it's something you should definitely give a shot.
The absurd antics of an Indiana town's public officials as they pursue sundry projects to make their city a better place.
A great comedy with a story line to it. It's a great show that will constantly have you laughing. Chris Pratt's performance is one of the funniest of all time and this was before he was the big superstar he is today. Nick Offerman plays one of the manliest men of all time but also portrays the character with a nice touch of comedy. This is a show I didn't watch until the final season came out because I didn't think I'd like it very much but it turned out to be one of my all time favorite comedies.
Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma, to learn the world is in ruins, and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.
The show that started the zombie fad. Great story line, great acting, keeps you enthralled and really develops characters. Just about everyone knows about this show but that's because of how good it is. You're always on the edge of your seat because something can go wrong at literally any moment. If you like zombies/horror/suspense then you'll love this show.
A chronicled look at the criminal exploits of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, as well as the many other drug kingpins who plagued the country through the years.
One of my favorite things about this show is it sticks to the facts. A lot of shows will make things up to keep it exciting but Narcos goes off of what really happened to create their story. Even though we know what happens, it's still edge of your seat exciting. It also sheds light on things and humanizes men who are often viewed as monsters. Honestly one of my all time favorite shows and it will likely be a 10 soon.
A mockumentary on a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium.
If you want something with a bit of story line but ridiculously funny, then this is your show. It's the show that started the mockumentary type of shows and executed it extremely well. Steve Carrel gives a hilarious performance that will make you want to work for Dunder-Mifflin.
The murder of a young boy in a small coastal town brings a media frenzy, which threatens to tear the community apart.
British crime shows are some of the best shows around. This show shows how a small town murder can tear a town apart. From rumors to obvious suspects this show has you wondering who the murder is all the way to the last episode. If you like crime shows, you should definitely check Broadchurch out.
Five friends with big egos and slightly arrogant attitudes are the proprietors of an Irish bar in Philadelphia.
This show is like Seinfeld on crack. There's no real story line but it will have you crying with laughter. I hated it when I was younger but now I've watched the series at least 10 times and it never gets old. Charlie Day and Danny Devito make up one of my favorite TV duos and their episodes are the best in my opinion. This show is also the longest tenured live action comedy in history so that tells you how much people enjoy it.
The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together in order to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.
I like mystery, "tropical", and surviving type shows so I loved Lost. A lot of people didn't like the ending but I didn't mind it. Even if you hate the ending, the journey to the final episode is fantastic. There are a lot of questions that never really get answered but the plot and story are just engrossing.
The life of Louis CK, a divorced comedian with two kids living in New York.
Louis CK incorporates a lot of his stand up and real life into this series. It's funny but it's also serious at times and shows real life situation. This show just feels real to me and that's why I enjoy it so much. Louis CK is the writer, star, and director of this show and it really show cases his talent. Definitely give this show a try.
Filmed over a 10-year period, Steven Avery, a DNA exoneree who, while in the midst of exposing corruption in local law enforcement, finds himself the prime suspect in a grisly new crime. Viewers are taken inside a high-stakes criminal case where reputation is everything and things are never as they appear.
This is a show I didn't want to watch at first because to me it just seemed like a defense piece that would be incredibly biased. I was wrong. This show is extremely compelling and will leave you baffled at how some verdicts can be reached even if the evidence goes against it. This is a real life crime story so if you enjoy crime shows, it doesn't get any realer than this.
An ensemble comedy that follows a group of old friends in a fantasy football league who care deeply about one another -- so deeply that they use every opportunity to make each other's lives miserable.
One of the funniest comedies I've seen and one of the few that I consistently re-watch. If you love fantasy football then you'll definitely love this show. It's so much more than fantasy football though. It's a buddy comedy that really shows how guys interact with one another with all the constant ripping on each other. It also has a ton of NFL player cameos and that only makes it better.
Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow.
It took me awhile to watch this show because I'm a Marvel fan and don't watch DC stuff but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's way more dark and gritty than your typical comic show and I think that's why I personally like it so much. If you like comic book shows, you will most likely like this show.
