Welcome to the re-mastered Free Agent Thread. Please use this thread if you are not currently in a clan, and looking for one to join. I will be keeping a link to the list in post number 2 on this thread, linking each member who posts to the post that they create. This way, nobody's post will get buried and there will be no need to bump posts! If you find a clan, I will simply remove you from the list so the available FA can be kept in 1 clean and organized place! The list will be updated daily, if you post and don't see your name available right away, fear not, I promise I will get it.
Some things to include in your post: (The more info you provide, the better!)
What console(s) are you on?
What are you looking for in a clan?
Clans you think you might be interested (not needed, but can help)
Basic thresholds to consider reaching before you post in this thread (Typically the point where most clans will take your application seriously)
A vouch/rep thread
2 MHC (the cost to join a clan)
please include in your post if you have plans to get MHC later, if you don't have 2 MHC
note: It may be a good idea to wait a bit after posting, and not just jump at the first offer you get! You never know, there may be a better fit that wouldn't have reached out because you were off the market too quickly! Remember to always look into each clan you get offers from, make sure they are active and a good fit for you!
Once posted here, your post will be linked to your username in post 2, and clan members can easily browse the list and respond to you as needed. Clan information/FAQ in post 3
A clan is a group of members who share a common interest on MutHead. It can be something as simple as a focused group of members who want to trade and share secrets amongst themselves or a group of members looking to become the greatest players on the site. Regardless, the purpose of the clan is recreational only. They carry no tenure nor authority on the site, but can earn the trust or respect of other members by association alone.
When should you apply?
Many clans require you to have some form of posting history on the site. How long a history is entirely up to the clan. Some clans base history upon post quantity. For example, they may say that you need a minimum post count of 500 to be considered.
Member Feedback is also something that many clans request you to have a minimum of. This is mainly to see how you interact with other members on the site. Also, currently the site ranks clans based upon total member feedback. So, there is a certain level of prestige to be had by having members with quality feedback. Again, the amount of feedback required is up to the clan
While not measured, post quality can have a influence. Whether you have a lot of posts or not, the quality of your posts can make a difference. If you only have 50-100 posts, but they are helpful and respectful, then you might get more interest than if your posts are profanity laced, constitute as spam, or just attack other members.
Picking a clan
There's a few things to factor, first which type of clan do you want? There's leisure clans, and legit clans which I'll explain below. There's also clans like GOD, which is a bit of both. Another thing to consider is your primary social group. It's good to have some amigos in your clan. You want to find one with people you like. Also there's your console. Some clans play MUT together and if that's something that interests you, then a console based clan might be appealing. Even insurance policies should be considered too. Some clans have an agreement where members will chip in to repay the victim if a member of the clan is proven to scam.
A leisure clan is one joins just to have fun, these clans generally wont have insurance policies and won't label their members viable middlemen. A lot of these clans do trust their members, but legitimacy isn't the point for them. The point is an enjoyable sub section of the forum for a social group.
A legit clan is mostly a status symbol to be part of. They will endorse their members as trustworthy in any capacity though each's own screening process. Some have insurance policies, one shouldn't apply to one of these unless they're very reputable in the community.
"No Drama" clans
Along with leisure clans, there is also clans that are legit, but also focus on a code of conduct. If your posts are profanity laced, exist for the sake of posting, or stir up issues with other members, then you need not apply.
These clans are those that are only exclusive to certain members. These clan members are usually very reputable and are very trustworthy.
Sim League Clans
Some clans are organized around "sim" (or simulation) league play similar to a fantasy football league (except with MUT teams). These clans are distinct in that they have a clan champion each season. Sim league clans typically have strict rules regarding intra-clan game play, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct within the MUT community as a whole. These clans also tend to be very particular about who they accept for membership.
Clans you probably can't ever join
Here's some clans you shouldn't hold hope to ever get in for one reason or another. [MH], [READ], [BRUH], [LOB]. MH is for mods, READ is a one man clan forever, don't think BRUH is accepting members, been the same 2 since day 1, LOB's owner is banned forever."
