We launched the new Muthead Pick'em system yesterday which allows members to risk MH Credits on various events to win potentially amazing payouts. Here is a brief overview of the system:
How to Participate
In order to participate in the Pick'em events, you will need MH Credits. You can learn more about them here. You can see the current Pick'em Events from the navbar under "Pick'em". If you want to risk your MH Credits on one of the events, just click the "Pick" button for the corresponding Pick'em option. Then select the MH Credit amount you wish to risk and confirm your pick. If you're correct, you will win a portion of the prize pool.
You can risk MH Credits on a Pick'em Event up to the event's close time, which is generally the start of the game. You may not make opposing picks on the same event, but you can increase the amount risked on a pick you have already made. Please keep in mind that all picks are final once confirmed. You will not be able to remove or change your pick for any reason.
If you make a winning pick, you will receive a percentage of the total prize pool that is equal to the percent of the amount you risked out of the total amount risked on that pick by the community. Here is an example event to help explain the payout process using last year's Super Bowl:
From Alice's perspective, she picked the correct winner and risked 40 of the total 50 that was risked by the community on SEA. That means she accounted for 80% of the MH Credits risked on SEA (40/50 = 80%). Therefore she is entitled to 80% of the total prize pool of 200 MH Credits. She comes away with a total of 160 MH Credits (0.8 * 200) which is a net gain of 120 MHC.
If you have any questions about the new Pick'em system, make a post in our General Help section.
