Force= Mass x Acceleration. A 196lb. Otto Graham at full speed, will lay out a stand still 300lb DT with ease, because of the hidden Isaac Newton Easter egg cheat code that EA has implemented in the game... also known as basic physics. Plus the fact that 1/3 to over 1/2 of the players on the defensive side of the ball weigh close to the same as him.
Comment of the year, i love it
Says the dude who only complains
Trucking your sweet face since 1946
Too slow to do what, THROW THE BALL?
A bit late this would’ve been nice to try out like 2 months ago
otto the trucker!
This card art is amazing
No such thing as too late
Way too late but still my favorite quarterback in the game
Is that all you can post? That’s literally the only post I’ve seen you make
I like it
If that’s all you think I do on here, you must be new
Your math is right but your application is HORRENDOUSLY incorrect. You’re forgetting leverage, strength etc. all of which creates an opposing force which is far greater than what ever force Otto Graham is able to produce. That’s why you don’t see 300+lb DTs being trucked over in real life.
Force is not the determiner in how two objects will react after a collision. (My physics is little shaky, but I believe...) that momentum, or mass times velocity and its derivative, impulse, are the biggest factors. Therefore, since most defensive tackles have similar speed and much heavier builds (by 50 to 100lbs), they're going stand Graham up. Ends will do the same. Most CBs, DBs, and the like are all about 220 lbs. He can truck a DB, sure, but you'd fare so much better with Cam Newton who is actually built for it.
As far as madden is concerned, your speed at time of collision, height (Henry, Blount are always glitchy for this reason), strength, weight, and truck rating are all factors in performing a successful truck on offense, while weight, speed, strength, and tackle factor into making the stop (maybe height as well, not sure).
in a nutshell-- its mass x acceleration... not mass x "possible acceleration if the guy was runnin as fast as the card says he can"
sounds like youre assuming that the similar speed DTs, etc. are running full speed all the time. They arent. They only time they are really is in pursuit... making ottos trucking a non factor in those times anyway. If hes tryin to truck through the line- they arent movin that fast... but he is.
In Madden, say you got a full browns theme team and get that Browns Run O chem and Power Run Chem (Maybe a little Zone run too if you're into that)...
Think...
He'll get:
90 Speed (91 with Madden) and 91 Acceleration
That 99 Trucking (Mmmm Yeah)
That 90 Stiff Arm (Ohhhh baby)
That (about) 90 Carry (Wooohwee)
Now if you can tell me that a DT is going to stop an almost 200 lbs Quarterback (with Truck Specialist to be funny) then think again. EA game mechanics are broken as can be. (THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THOSE WITH SECURE TACKLER BY THE WAY)
97 Taysom Hill better in every way lmao.

Hill is better, Otto is too slow at this point.
